FitnessPlayer was founded in 2011 by Anders Ekström, who saw a growing problem: fitness instructors were relying on private streaming services in their classes, unknowingly breaking copyright laws. Back then, no legal alternative existed for group training – so he decided to build one.
What began as a simple solution quickly evolved into a nationwide tool, with licensed music and features tailored to the needs of instructors. Today, FitnessPlayer is still led by its founder, trusted by thousands of instructors and is the market leader in the Nordics – with continued expansion across Europe.
